After several years working in construction on high steel bridges and skyscrapers, he attended UBC where he earned a B Ed in Education and taught high school until retirement. While living in Sydney, Australia he crewed several racing sailboats. His passion for sailing led Randy to crew a cruising yacht half way around the world from Darwin, Australia to Indonesia and East Africa before completing the journey in Cyprus on the Mediterranean. His passions are used to give the reader the feeling of realism and local pride of Vancouver where he now lives with his wife and two boys. | |
